Circle CFO Jeremy Fox-Geen to Step Down; Co-founder Sean Neville Exits Board

Circle is losing two senior figures at once. Chief Financial Officer Jeremy Fox-Geen is stepping down after more than five years in the role, and will stay on through the end of 2026 to manage the transition. Co-founder Sean Neville is leaving the board effective immediately.

Fox-Geen guided Circle's finances through its public-market era and the rapid growth of USDC into a multi-tens-of-billions stablecoin. A CFO transition at the world's largest regulated stablecoin issuer is worth watching: reserve management, attestation cadence, and capital planning all run through that office.

Neville's immediate board departure closes a chapter — he co-founded the company and his exit removes one of its last direct links to the founding team from the boardroom.

Why it matters for stablecoin holders: leadership changes don't alter USDC's reserves or redeemability today, but the CFO seat is where reserve policy gets executed. Watch who fills it and what they prioritize.
